"I have primary progressive MS; I was 38 years old when I moved to a facility in Brisbane. I remained at the facility for the next 10 years. Circumstances came to a boiling point, and I was suffering mentally and physically due to poor quality of care by the facility where I was living in. I had to find an alternative for accommodation, Saimaa Support Services immediately came to my aid. By that day they provided me with suitable accommodation, with 24/7 care and community access. I stayed at this accommodation for 9 months, during this period: Thanks to my blessed parents (RIP) I was able to buy property. Thanks to Saimaa Support Services for finding me a location to build on and for working with my construction team to make sure it was accessible for my wheelchair and my needs. Now Saimaa Support Services is providing me with 24/7 ongoing supports with staff I can engage with by choice and enjoy life up to the fullest. The quality of life has improved immensely, I do hydrotherapy twice a week. I’ve purchased two cavoodle puppies, Saimaa support service have a van that lets me enjoy going out with my puppies and enjoying my life to the fullest. I have full access to the van that allows me to go to appointments, including the naturopath and on any adventures. I will be forever thankful and excited for future endeavours with Saimaa Support Services."
